Mobile planter boxes

Each box is framed in treated pine, set out square and braced across the base so it stays true once it carries soil and a mature plant. The frames were primed before any cladding went on, which is the only chance you get at the faces that end up buried inside the box.

Cladding is a shiplap board with a mitred capping around the top, so the rim reads as a solid edge rather than a row of cut ends. Every fixing is set in a straight line down the face. On a box this plain, the screw pattern is the detail.

They are lined, drained and sit on heavy-duty castors, so a full box still moves with one person. The finish is a soft blue under a white cap, matched to the palette already running through the hotel’s outdoor areas.
